Day 17 - 140, 2lbs gained again...

Funny how when you're hungry, really random things sound sooo good. This morning I asked my 5 year old daughter what she wanted for snack during Kindergarten. She picked half of a large whole wheat tortilla, lol. So when I got back from taking her to school, I was putting them away (and was hungry) and all of a sudden a cheese quesadilla sounded sooooo good!! I could literally almost taste it, and it was like this sudden craving, along with a picture in my mind of me literally stuffing the entire thing in my mouth, like I was starving. Silly mind games. Sorry, not this time.

So...yeah, the scale. We've played this game before, the scale & I. And turns out, scales like to play mind tricks. Did you know that? So this morning I stepped on the scale and was welcomed by once again, the big 140.0. Lovely, huh? So that's another 2 lbs up - but since we've been through this, I'm not even giving it another thought. Just a little blip in the weight loss. In a few days I'm sure I'll be seeing 138 again or maybe even less, who knows?

My fridge is stocked with enough green smoothie goods to last quite a while so that feels nice. I don't like that slightly panicky feeling of knowing there is not any green smoothie makings in the house and I'm going to have to tough out the hunger until I go to the store. Not a fun feeling.

10PM
LOL @ me - I took a shower after running tonight, and before I stepped in I stood on the scale. I just like to - it's fun when you're losing weight to keep seeing it go down, down, down! So this morning I was at 140.0, right? First thing in the morning, no clothes on, my low weight for the day. And it was UP 2 pounds from yesterday morning.

Grrrr, I thought, the scale still says 140, it hasn't moved! Then I was like - DUH! Awesome! I can't believe it actually says 140 at night! It's never been that low at night before. I think the lowest it has been was 141, and I usually lose about 3 lbs throughout the night. I know, it's dumb, but it's fun to play with the numbers and watch them move.

So - who knows, maybe I'll reach 137 tomorrow. I doubt it, but the guessing and not knowing is fun!
