Day 28 - 138

138.ZERO again today. What is up with that? Not too exciting seeing the scale just SIT there, but just writing "Day 28" is pretty exciting for me! I can't believe I've made it this far - yes, with some ups & downs, but every single day without exception I've had at least one pound of greens. That, my friends, is a first for me!

My hands (the palms) are still so so dry. It really bugs me because I don't know what to do about it. It is not stretchy and supple like normal skin - it feels like sandpaper and when I stretch my fingers out like I'm going to catch a ball, it is uncomfortable, almost painful. Enough that I notice it, and it is not pleasant.

There are so many different ideas and things to do for this type of thing online that it kind of gets all confusing and mumbo-jumbo when you try to sort it out. I bought some baby Thai coconuts and for a few days, was having one every day in hopes that the fat would somehow help my dry skin. I haven't been as consistent with that as I'd like, but I'm going to keep trying. I also started (today) rubbing my hands in coconut oil...like a lotion. It gives relief for about half a minute, and then feels dry (like sunburned skin, kind of) once again.

I did a new workout yesterday! Not the dance DVD I want to get at the library; it's not in yet. But another one called "Step Away the Inches" with T-Tapp, about a 25 minute workout. I'm optimistic about it...I plan to do it every day that I possibly can. The main thing is patience and consistency...I still am hoping to see 135 on Tuesday morning!

Oh! I woke up this morning and felt like my stomach was just, well, flatter. So I measured and it looks like I have lost about 1/2 an inch around my waist! Tomorrow is the official weigh-in day so we'll see...it'd be nice to have some inch loss to show for my efforts this week, since the scale is being stubborn. It looks like I'm down to losing about a pound a week. Hmmmmm....that's actually really lame, but I haven't been faithful to work out (last time I did was about 10 days ago when I went running) so maybe that will make the difference.

In the meantime, I am happy with how all my clothes are fitting so maybe I need to just forget about the dumb scale, lol.

  1. Have you thought about trying true 80/10/10 style? Meaning just fruit and greens? Not avocados, not cacao, not supplements or powders? I bet your body would really get a chance to cleanse then.
