Excited for a NEW day!


There's no particular reason for this post, really, except to say that I am so excited for tomorrow and for the future! I think it might be the significance of having made it to 25 days on just green smoothies with a few blips along the way. But over all I am getting about 1 pound of greens per day and I am loving the way I feel!

I'm excited for the possibilities of more energy than every, more weight loss, and more clarity of mind. Being a better Mom to my children because my blood sugar isn't constantly dipping low and then high again like it does on SAD food. I am excited about the fact that I could very well eat like this for the rest of my life - green smoothies are 'da bomb and even with just going running 2x per week, I have dropped 9 lbs in a little over 3 weeks.

I just made up another 120oz. green smoothie and have five sports cups all lined up in the fridge read for day 25. It consisted of (since some have asked for the recipe I use - this is generally what I eat every day):

3 cups of water
2 cups of zucchini
12 bananas
1 medium cucumber
1 pound of greens (mostly spinach + 1 bunch of parsley)
1.5 T. ground flax
20 medium strawberries
1.5 cups blueberries
1 T. cocoa powder
2 t. cinnamon

I have also been having 1 thai coconut every day, for about the past 4 days. I have a very dry skin issue I'm trying to figure out how to cure. I eat both the meat and also drink the milk. They're super yummy anyway, and I consider them to by my treat...but am also hoping that the fat will help my skin, especially the palms and soles of my feet.

Here's something interesting. I logged what I ate on Fitday.com, to see what kind of calories I'm getting each day and also what kind of fat. According the green smoothie I just outlined (but not the coconut), I am getting:

1,583 calories
Carbs: 83%
Fat: 10%
Protein 7%
